The Albanian American Cultural Center - Struga was founded in 1977 by Albanian immigrant families who wanted a home away from home: a place to worship, to keep our language and traditions alive, and to support one another.
Today, based in Riverdale, New Jersey, we serve as both a faith and a cultural center. We hold religious services, celebrate our holidays and heritage, run youth and sports programs, and stand beside our members in times of joy and of loss.
To preserve Albanian faith, language, and culture in America, and to bring our community together across generations - just as our founders envisioned in 1977.
The Albanian American Cultural Center exists to serve as the cultural home of the Albanian community by:
Preserving Albanian language, culture, history, and traditions.
Providing educational programs for children, youth, and adults.
Developing future community leaders through character and leadership education.
Offering cultural, artistic, athletic, and recreational activities.
Supporting the religious needs of members in accordance with the Center's bylaws and policies.
Encouraging volunteerism, philanthropy, and humanitarian service.
Strengthening family engagement and community unity.
Maintaining facilities that serve as a gathering place for educational, cultural, religious, and social activities.
Operating with transparency, accountability, and sound financial stewardship.
Building a sustainable institution that serves the Albanian community for generations to come.
